After being unhealthy and all around non-athletic type for several years, I decided to take up distance running when I turned 30. I have now been running for a little over a decade and continue to improve and find new motivations and reasons to keep going. I have taken part in a number of endurance events over the years, mostly marathons and half marathons, but I have also completed a few 70.3 triathlons. A big highlight for me was in 2015 when I ran a 2:56 marathon in Nagano, Japan. Although I am tempted by other distances, I continue to be drawn towards 26.2.
I’ll try to keep this updated, regardless of whether or not people actually read it. My hope is that the can provide some helpful information (or distractions) for other people, but it is also for myself as a record of my thoughts and experiences.
